Anniversary

It's my quit smoking anniversary, May 7. I quit smoking 7 years ago, a couple months after my grandfather passed. He was a smoker, he lived the last few years of his life on a oxygen tank and home bound. That was the hardest for him, cause he ways always so lively. My grandfather loved life and his family, smoking robbed time away from both.

My cousin & I stayed many days at the hospital by his side, helping grandma have some time away. I was always so scared I would be in the room when he took his final breathes of life. I don't think I could have handled that.

For my Grandaddy, myself, & my family I celebrate 7 years of quiting smoking. Patches & will power work:)

Congratulations. I have never smoked but I have family that do and they have said how hard it is to stop. I have a 15 and 17 year old girls that smoke and all I can do is pray that they will see the harm that it can do to their bodies. It takes a strong person to stop and then to continue on the path that you have chosen.
