Police Force Pursuit Blok Squad @MegaBloks

I have to say I'm amazed that so many small little pieces can come together into a Blok Squad. My husband and two boys set with such patience working on the Mega Bloks Police Force Pursuit Blok Squad. All though it's recommend for children 5 and up, my boys and husbands did it together and had some male bonding time. I think I saw my husband turn into a child for a brief moment.

After a little time the piece do come together to make Police Cruiser SUV & the Boat. The boat was the boys favorite. They are saving the Patrol truck for another day to build together.

What little boy wouldn't like the Fire Patrol Station, Police Force Pursuit, or a Construction Site? All the major action heroes that make play come alive. Check out Mega Bloks facebook page and on twitter @MegaBloks

I was approving posts and noticed Tricia post about Good Fortunes and thought I just got a Good Fortune Giant Fortune Cookie. Could she be talking about the same thing? I had my cookie and have not opened it, scratching my head about it's surprise arrival and chalked it up to the orders I'd made from 1-800-Baskets as a thank you or something on the Chinese New Year the day before.

So busy with appointments I set it aside until her post. As I message Tricia and open the package I read a great fortune from the fortune cookie. I was welcomed to the 2012 Step2 Test Drive Mom Blogger Program!!

7 Hours in ER, Really??

After having pain in her arm, it got hot and began swelling. My mom said she thought it may be a blood clot and went to the ER. This was at 2:00 PM and at 4:00 PM I arrived to check on her, sure that she would have seen the Physician by this time. She said no, not yet, I asked her to leave and go to the next county hospital she said "it want be much longer now." I thought maybe not but, I'd already dismiss our small town hospital when my son was an infant and we was put in a room on hold for six hours until the doctor felt like coming in and this was on a very slow night. The county over had us in and out in one hour, they have great time management at that hospital.

9:00 PM she was finally called to an ER Room, this hospital does not have that much action, they just see a patient every 45 mins to my opinion. Thankful she only has cellulitis and not a clot. I've never shared publicly but, my mom has had Lupus for years. She is recovering good and said she will never use this ER again due to their poor time management in the ER.

I was upset to see a very elderly man spend 7 hours in a wheel chair also. This man was around 70 to 80, how sad. His family had left him there and I saw them come in a few hours later. Other patients in the waiting room helped the old man to the bathroom and made the nurse get him a snack.

Wow I know where have I been? Playing like a kid well of course. My husband and I have been right there playing with the boys and their new toys. I've been totally wrapped up in the holiday spirt. Visiting family, making cookies, doing a big salt dough decorating tradition, cooking, seeing Santa, and so much more.

This was a grand Christmas, we were all healthy most important. There was way to much food to eat and so many activities to attend I barely even turned my computer on. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Hard to believe it's over and New Years is a few days away. You know I'd like to lose weight this year, be more organized, spend more family time, and more time fishing:)

So it seems we have a lazy Elf on the Shelf here, named Snowflake. Son ask, "momma why doesn't he move around like the elf we have at school? Replied he doesn't like travel that much and doesn't like strange places, plus your little brother scares him, so he is trying to stay in a safe place. As Christmas is closer, he is moving more & more.

Big brother understands his little brother wants to get that elf. Does the elf watching make them behave any better, only for the oldest some. Little brother is just little brother and really don't care, he's going to do it anyways:)

PartSelect.com said Tell us your best “If my appliance could talk” story! I choose the topic if my appliance could talk because of the fact our appliances does do the talking for us. From the clean clothes we wear to the heavenly or not so heavenly dish we share with others.

See our refrigerator (by the way a GE) shares our families photos, kids drawings on the outside and it does so much more in the inside protecting my family from food born illness keeping temperatures their best. My refrigerator would say after ten years it is used more than any other appliance in the house, it never gets turned off, and it seal is wearing out. My boys have used it for learning magnetic number cards, swing on the doors when they were little, and hanging their favorite art work and sometimes the fridge disappears under that art work.

My stove (also a GE by the way) speaks volumes. For the past 10 years it has brought food to our table to share family meals together. It prepared the nutritional meals I feed myself during my pregnancies and has since nourished my growing toddler boys. Making cookies for Santa with my kids and cakes for birthdays, and making memories. Every meal I set on Holiday tables, my guest hear my appliances talk. My stove will not remind people of my first turkey, (I left the insides in), only show how my know how and cooking skills have improved.

The clothing pairing of my washer & dryer say I send my family dressed in clean good smelling clothes. We know that appearance matter and my appliance speak that they work hard. Providing cleaning for past 10 years to my now almost 5 year and 2 year, my husband and myself. Everyone knows what messes two boys can make. My dryer was recently replaced with a new model.

I just had to share the story of when my mom and dad got a new refridgerator, when I about 4 yrs old. They were taking the old green one out and I cried and cried. I didn't want it to leave, my mom said it took me about a day to get over. I remembered that I felt so sad and do recall that day.

So, see they do talk. Our appliances say they live their lifespans with us co-working to keep our family in a healthy balance without having to blink an eye away from family time. They would probably say I'm to depending on them to do their job. The less you have to worry about a proper working appliance the more time you have to concentrate on the important thing family and sometimes sleep.

Can't count the endless number of things we need a flashlight for around our home and on the go. Emergency preparness for storm and loss of electricity is top on the list for good strong flashlight. My son loves learning new things and loves space. Up til now he know about earth, the stars, sun, and the moon but, until he got an out of this world learning kit from Teach My. The Solar System by Teach My book highlighted one characteristic for each planet and each planet's place within the solar system. My boys loved the hands on planet placement puzzle. Must Have Dale & Thomas Popcorn

Dale & Thomas has the best gourmet popcorn hands down. I thought I had tried great popcorn before, no way. I was mesmerized at first taste with freshness of each mouth watering bite sent in a nice gift box.

I was totally in love and if anyone wants to get me something for Christmas I would love my two favorite Dale & Thomas popcorn, " Twice-As-Nice Chocolate Drizzlecorn & Peanut Butter & White Chocolate Drizzlecorn." Both is popcorn heaven, I could really over indulge on them.

Others we enjoyed are Chocolate Chunck N'Caramel Popcorn, Southwest Chipotle Cheddar Kettle Corn, Dale's Caramel Popcorn. I enjoyed the mixture of the Chocolate N'Caramel; however, the complete caramel was a little too much for my teeth. Not to mention I'm not much of a caramel person so that may be why. I'm also not much of a spicy eater either but, my husband said he liked the Southwest Chipotle and we all adored the Hall of Fame Kettle Corn.

Shrinky Dinks Christmas Tree Giveaway & Review

We decorated the cutest little Christmas Tree. My two little boys had the most awesome time watching the ornaments they made go from big to little out of the oven. Creativity for Kids Shrinky Dinks Christmas Tree are adorable and fun activities to do with the kids.

First they used colored pencils to color the pre-cut ornaments. Next we put the tree together and decorated with rhinestone accents. Next we stringed the tinsel garland with metallic beads and decorated the tree with our ornaments and star. Finishing the look with our decorated tree skirt.

Going to school early in the morning my son replies I can't take this cold freezing weather. When he said that, we wasn't even getting a hard frost on the ground. I told him it is only going to get colder. I thought about the hooded insulated jackets I'd seen from Rothschild and thought that might help.

The Rothschild Captain of the Team Active Jacket arrived. Immediately the zipper attached/un-attachable hood with mix of poly fleece and nylon lining stood out, I can make him cover his ears with extra velcro close. Since school started he's had recurrent ear infections. Zipper up jacket and button close with nylon lining helps make it wind resistant and light weight. Light weight is important for 4 yrs or they feel confined and my son does not like feel hindered.

We review the Navy Rothschild Captain of the Team Active Jacket and it has print & patch on the arms. One front top zipper pocket and two large pockets at the bottom. It also has one hidden pocket inside and this jacket is machine washable. Just a note that the black Captain of the Team Jacket has a few different features than the Navy if you choose that color style.

We've been to the book fair at school selecting books to read. My sons love for us to read books together and our book collection is quite full. We have a small book stand full and my sons desk is full of books. They needed a book shelf that was easy for them to reach the books at their level with their favorite titles in it. Plus cool looking doesn't hurt at all. The Tidy Books Bookcase fits the needs of my little readers.

I can tell you when it arrived I thought wow this is going to be to small and was wondering it some pieces were missing. After my workers arranged it I saw that the pieces fit together to make it bigger. We had the best builders on this project and seriously it was easy to assemble, the kids helped. Hormel Country Crock Side Dish Challenge + Giveaway

I just took the Hormel™Country Crock® “Side Dish Challenge." My husband had to work Thanksgiving night so we did the test run with the Hormel Country Crock with the meal I prepared for us. I then served dinner & left overs to my guest that visited Thanksgiving Night. I have to admitted I kind of felt like a cheat cooking or should I say heating up in the microwave. Really the main things I had to cook was dressing and beans, and pumpkin pie, then the turkey for my guests. I even bought a pre-cooked ham that I just heated.

My husband was expecting his moms recipe of stewed potatoes, well instead he got the Hormel Country Crock loaded potatoes. They were our favorite, so delicious and flavorful made with 100% Russet Potatoes, sour cream, bacon, and chives. These are a must try easy side dish!!

We also enjoyed the Hormel County Crock Cheddar Broccoli Rice made with real cheese and nice chucks of broccoli and turned out to be my moms favorite side dish. The side dish of mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg was ok plain, but I thought it would be better mixed up into a sweet potato pie so, I will have to try that for Christmas. Hormel County Crock Cinnamon Apples was a great dessert and true to the package it is perfect with ice cream.

Funrise has teamed up with National Geographic Kids toy line. Introducing the Nat Geo Wild Rides collection with the “All Adventure Vehicle” and “Elephant Ride." We had the chance to try out the Elephant Ride. My boys adored the make believe play with these fun Safari friends and the cool part is the binoculars are use able. It's been so much fun hearing my 2 year old making monkey sounds.

Wild Rides Elephant Adventure canopy that folds out into a slide. I had the hardest time turning it into a slide but, my husband used the screwdriver and adjusted the yellow pack on the back and it worked out. The cute monkey spins down the vine. Eelephant has a movable spring loaded trunk, movable ears, legs. animal figures can be purchased separate and includes a National Geographic Fun Fact sticker card with amazing animal facts.

Learning Curve Thomas & Belle to the Rescue Set

Amazing how things work out, like they line up in the universe to make perfect sense. After visiting the fire station with the pre-k class the Learning Curve Thomas & Belle to the Rescue set arrived at our door the same afternoon. Perfect timing I say!!

My son was already fire safety excited and then he got to put out fires with Thomas the Train & Belle. The set included a heavy duty wooden railway with bridge. Bridge is wooden and plastic constructed.

Rushing from the water tanker Belle is there to save the day for the farm shed with flames rushing out of the top. She whooshes water out of her boiler to put the fire out! Water tanker water level goes up and down and moving the lever on the farm house shows/hides the fire.

Universal Children’s Day is November 20, 2011, and Pocoyo is supporting UNICEF’s mission to raise global awareness for Children’s Rights.

The United Nations’ Universal Children’s Day was established in 1954, and is celebrated on November 20 each year to promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide. UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund,promotes and coordinates this special day, which also works towards improvingchildren’s welfare.

Doubled sided magnetic numbers makes learning fun and entertaining. Children love playing with magnets and sneaking education in is an excellent idea. My son loves to count so I thought the Learning Resources Magnetic Numbers would be the perfect educational gift. We've been practicing with our set right on the refrigerator door; however, they are used on whiteboards also. It' more convenient for us to practice while cooking dinner. I like that they are study and thick, not easy to bend.
