OMG I would have flipped out at both! Was the tick just in your son's hair, or had it started to burrow??
LOL once, my husband's cousin came in after "muddin'" and had a tick that was half submerged in the bottom of his arm. His mom, grandma, and I scrambled for various ways to get rid of it (Vaseline, lighter, etc) and my husband didn't even know what it was. Ah, South Floridians.
I don't have any scorpion stories, and I hope to keep it that way!
