Heelys Wheel Skate Shoe Giveaway & Review

Days before school stating we were debating what style of shoe my son would wear. He loves light up shoes, the color blue, and they had to have adjustable straps on top. Would you believe it, Heelys have just that shoe. Except these shoes have a double fun factor, they have wheels, well 2 wheels to be exact.

The shoe of my sons dreams is the Heelys X2 Bolt style, the bolts light up. They are trimmed in blue, black, silver, white. To tell the truth at his age of 5 years old I was scared of just one wheel skate but, thought he could balance better with the second skate. He is still catching the hang of them, but loves'em to pieces and shows them to everyone. He thought he could slide them on and skate like a pro but, has realized it takes practice and balance.

Noted: Each HX2 shoe has two removable wheels for better balance and control, making it an ideal choice for less experienced skaters. In addition, the HX2 models do not require as much leg strength, which allows younger users to lift their toes more easily and skate more comfortably. Like one-wheeled Heelys, the wheels in the HX2 models are completely removable. After wearers become more accustomed to skating, HX2 models can be converted into a regular pair of Heelys by removing one of the wheels. Pop out both wheels and the HX2 becomes a regular street shoe.

On the first day of school, he did not have the skates on them, we popped the wheel loose and add the heel plug. At the end of the school day when it's time to play we use the provided plug removal tool and exchange the plug and fit the skate wheels in to the bracket.
