Spring Fever

I'm in the organization spring fever mode. House cleaning and yard work, but how could I not be with temperature reaching 80 degrees. The kids are enjoying hours of play in the sunshine. I've got alot of projects going on.

I'm currently construction women, when my husband needs a hand. He is building me a storage building at this moment and almost finished. I've already started moving stuff into it. Next project fix master bath, tub was cracked and found a crappie plumbing job. Add a railing to the front porch and some small indoor projects. We are dying to get in some fishing.

 It's really hard to keep little boys away from power tools, saws, etc.:) Which my 4yr help his dad work for a while. He walks in "Momma, I'm working on your building & daddy's helping." One thing that makes them happy while construction is going on............dirt & water:)

Organized Living Review & Giveaway

Here lately my house is a true mess, 2 small children, my husband and I contribute to the mess. What I realized we are simply unorganized and results in cluttered areas. Under my sink is my cluttered unorganized spot and I can never find a pot lid when I need one either.

Thanks to Organized Living I'm taking back space and becoming organized with the Madesmart Undersink Shelf. You can use this shelf to adjust the height to fit under, between, or above any sink drain or pipes expands from 18 to 32 inches. Metal bars can be place parallel from one another, the shelf planks can be added between. Complete easy assembly, I had it set up in 10 minutes or less under my sink. My husband had said "I can fix it for you when I get off work." Um, I did it myself. Very easy.

I also reviewed a nickel lid organizer, to keep my pot lids in one special place. This organizer can store up to 9 lids vertically so they are easy to find and access. 13.75Lx6Wx4.125H.

Pillsbury is looking for original recipes that taste and look delicious, are easy to prepare and that families across America will love to eat. Consumers can submit recipes in one of four recipe categories:

• The Breakfast & Brunches category includes casual brunch or weekend family breakfast ideas. For example, sweet rolls, pull-aparts, pastries, breakfast breads, egg dishes or breakfast sandwiches.

• In the Entertaining Appetizers category, entrants can submit appetizers and snacks to serve at casual gatherings with family and friends or for holiday entertaining. For example, bite size appetizers, tartlets, pinwheels, puffs, bruschetta or focaccia.

• The Dinner Made EasyTM category encourages home cooks to create easy-to-prepare main dishes that will delight your family. For example, pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, foldovers, casseroles, chilis, soups or savory pies.

• Quick and easy treats for anytime celebrations can be entered into the Sweet Treats category. For example, cookies, pies, tarts, brownies or bars.

Entries are being accepted online between now and April 18, 2011, at www.bakeoff.com. One hundred lucky finalists will compete for a chance at the grand prize during the contest finals, which take place March 25-27, 2012 at the Peabody Orlando Hotel in Florida. You´ll also find contest details, including eligible products, prizes and the official rules, on the web site.

The recipes will be judged for 1) taste, 2) appearance, 3) creativity and 4) consumer appeal. All entries must meet the requirements of the recipe category and appropriately use two of the eligible products in at least the quantity specified.

Build A Dream Playhouses Giveaway

Rule of childhood, no matter what it is inside a cardboard box, the box is the best. Well that rang true until Build a Dream Playhouse wowed children with cardboard snack shack, imagine wagon, pop n' play castles.

My oldest son jumping around saying "put it together daddy." I want to sell lemonade like Curious George. I asked how much he would be charging. He held up four fingers and I don't think family gets discounts. Boy are we in trouble. Baby brother is actually and literally into everything. Cabinet can hold one child:)

The Snack Shack was pretty easy to assemble with paper instruction. I actually preferred the video assembly on the Build A Dream Playhouses website. Very smart to add it to their site:) We only had one problem with the little menu board, it didn't fit well, so we adjusted it. It is a accessory and does not affect the structure either way.

The Build A Dream Snack Shack has been used here for two week. My children have had so much fun with it. I helped color until my fingers are numb and think we should have painted it. My boys really didn't mind the color but, did enjoy us working on it together. We did get a little creative and hot glue clothespins to the top to hang chips and snacks.

This weekend my son set up shop outside selling lemonade and chips at his party. He got all the adults to buy from him. Then all the kids played store, they had should a great time. The snack shack was a big hit at the party, the children loved it.

Me Finder Show & Tell

While looking for ideas to help protect my children I came across Me Finder Show & Tell. The me Finder is a digital wristband to help lost children. 5 phone number can be programmed in it. Best to use mobile numbers first, since most times losing children happen during over populated destinations and shopping. Teach your child to show a safe adult and tell them to call mommy, daddy, or anyone listed in the wristband.

The Me Finder Show & Tell is a genius product to help young children. It is also not limited to young children, but also can benefit children with disabilities or adults suffering from Alzheimer's. My cousin has autism and it would be a benefit for him to have a Me Finder wristband.

Programing the Me Finder wristband was very easy, just follow instructions. Instruction leaflet and YouTube video to assistance with programming. It fits securely; however it can be a little hard to get on & off. That is a good things children can not get it off easily. Overall a true great product. It uses a LR54 1.5V battery. Full alphabet to fill in the contact names. The Me Finder ships worldwide with free P&P.
