Hormel Country Crock Side Dish Challenge + Giveaway

 I just took the Hormel™Country Crock® “Side Dish Challenge." My husband had to work Thanksgiving night so we did the test run with the Hormel Country Crock with the meal I prepared for us. I then served dinner & left overs to my guest that visited Thanksgiving Night. I have to admitted I kind of felt like a cheat cooking or should I say heating up in the microwave. Really the main things I had to cook was dressing and beans, and pumpkin pie, then the turkey for my guests. I even bought a pre-cooked ham that I just heated.

My husband was expecting his moms recipe of stewed potatoes, well instead he got the Hormel Country Crock loaded potatoes. They were our favorite, so delicious and flavorful made with 100% Russet Potatoes, sour cream, bacon, and chives. These are a must try easy side dish!!

We also enjoyed the Hormel County Crock Cheddar Broccoli Rice made with real cheese and nice chucks of broccoli and turned out to be my moms favorite side dish. The side dish of mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg was ok plain, but I thought it would be better mixed up into a sweet potato pie so, I will have to try that for Christmas. Hormel County Crock Cinnamon Apples was a great dessert and true to the package it is perfect with ice cream.

Farm Rich New Stuffed Pretzel Bites Review & Giveaway

Farm Rich Foods are a perfect choice, weather your pulling together a family meal or just an after school snack. Farm Rich recently introduced Stuffed Pretzel Bites, its first new product in 2011. As you may know Farm Rich uses premium ingredients and their products have only 110 calories per serving and 3 grams, and  0g trans fats per serving.

Glass Dharma Review & Giveaway

 A great table setting that you may be forgetting is Glass Dharma glass drinking straws. Drinkware accessaries with stylish decorative dots and better yet they are reusable which means a better product for the environment. He will only use when them while I'm watching. I also prefer they should remain seated for safety concerns.

IWave Cube Smallest Portable Microwave

The days of family and business trips without the luxuries of home has passed with inventions like the IWave Cube. Taking your microwave with you has become easier with the smallest microwave in the world. The IWave Cube has a carrying handle, settings are also located on the top. Some settings are already programed in the top for popcorn, coffee, and heat pack, etc.. It has a little light inside and the cooking timer is low sounding, which is a great feature for an office or nursery.


When first seeing the IWave Cube I thought it would be perfect for my father. Farming, there's not many food stops or home cooking near by. Many times he just skips lunch. Some of the fields he works in has an power source and he can use the IWave Cube to get a warm meal, quickly, and then be back to work fast. Especially in the winter when they work cotton they are in the field till 1:00 am and I mean it is freezing weather. How perfect to heat up with a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Small enough to stay in the tractor or truck:)

It is missing a turn table for even cooking on large items, you will have to rotate package or stir for even heating. It takes a little longer than tradition microwaves but, all in all it does a great job heating. Below you can see it's size compared to the KFC bucket. The bucket will not fit inside of the IWave Cube. This portable microwave actually measures 10.5"W x 10"D x 12"H
Heating cavity is .3 cubic feet (8"W x 8"D x 6"H) 600 watts, and weighs 12 pounds.

Kim & Scott's Soft Gourmet Pretzels Giveaway

I'm not a fan of hard pretzels and don't care for the traditional pretzel taste. I had the opportunity to try the Kim & Scott's Soft Gourmet Pretzels and thought ok I'll give these a try. I'm really glad I did! They taste nothing like a regular pretzels, they are soft, and actually have flavor.

Kim & Scott's Soft Gourmet Pretzels was delivered in box with a cooler & dry ice, 95 degree temperatures here the ice was gone. The boxes was still cool to the touch so we put all but 2 in the freezer. The first ones we tried immediately after delivery was the Grilled Cheese & the Pizza Pretzel. It was mid afternoon and we was snack ready:) Yummy, all of us loved them. The stuffing was not pouring out but, it was a perfect blend and it was a clean snack with little ones.

The next afternoon my boys & I enjoyed the Apple Cinnamon Pretzel and they really loved them. So later while grilling I cooked the Spinach Feta & Cheddar Jalapeno. I liked the Spinach Pretzel and dipped it in ranch dressing but, my husband and kids didn't join in my taste. Now the Cheddar Jalapeno was ok and had the same great taste but, just too hot & spicy for me. Dipping in the ranch help cool down the Jalapeno some.

I love the look and texture of Kim & Scott's Soft Gourmet Pretzels. They are certainly great home snack, on the go, or part of a meal combination. I certainly will be adding them with meals and having them for snacks here.

Lifetime 6ft Folding Picnic Table Review & Giveaway

I knew of some of Lifetime Products, but little did I know of the wide array of products they actually make.  I was on my way in to my local grocery store and I saw they had a new picnic table. I walked up to take a better look, because I really liked what I saw and wanted to see if it was for sale. It was for store use.

The 6 foot Lifetime Picnic Table top is made of high-density polyethylene, steel frame, stain resistant, 2-year limited warranty. It can easily seat 8 people and folds flat for storage. The Center can hold an umbrella, for family fun in the shade. This Lifetime Picnic table is a must have for family barbecues, Memorial Day cookouts, and the 4th of July. So many special events I plan to share with my family using the the Lifetime picnic table including a birthday party in June.

The Lifetime Picnic Table was easy to assemble, no special tools just a Phillips screwdriver. My husband did most of the work himself. Twice he asked me to hold the brace and J channels so he could align them. It took about 30 mins to assemble, the instructions manual was easy to follow, and the setup was easy. In order to hang for storage, requires two adults, (it's heavy) & for safety.
